Privacy policy
Your career data stays under your control.
Effective 8 September 2026. This policy describes the TrueApply open beta and may change as the product develops.
What we collect
When you sign in, we receive basic identity information from Google or LinkedIn, such as your name, email address, account identifier, and profile image when provided. When you use the product, we store your canonical resume profile, fact reviews, job and workflow metadata, and generated draft metadata.
Your uploaded PDF or DOCX is parsed in memory and is not retained as an original source file. Canonical resume facts and generated documents can contain sensitive personal information, so they are kept in your authenticated personal workspace.
How we use the data
We use your data to extract a reviewable profile, find and rank related job listings, explain matching evidence, and create resume, cover-letter, and connection-note drafts. TrueApply does not sell personal data.
TrueApply has no automatic application, email, message, or connection-request sending capability. The beta cannot submit anything to an employer on your behalf.
Job data providers
Profile refreshes may send bounded role-title and location search terms to Jooble. When you explicitly select Search Careerjet, Careerjet receives a job title inferred from your profile and your profile or selected search location, plus the requesting IP address, browser user-agent string, and TrueApply jobs-page referer required by its partner API. Careerjet searches are not run automatically. Supported public job feeds may also receive a bounded source request from the TrueApply server.
Retention and deletion
Your canonical profiles remain until you delete your workspace. Generated PDF and DOCX drafts are scheduled for deletion after 30 days without access. You can export your workspace or delete it from Settings. Workspace deletion removes profiles, workflows, draft metadata, and document files. A minimal pseudonymous deletion audit record may remain for security and accountability.
Security and processors
Canonical resume profiles and stored document objects are application-encrypted at rest, isolated by authenticated workspace, and accessed through a controlled application boundary. Login providers and job-data providers process only the information needed for their respective services under their own policies. No internet service is risk-free, and the beta should not be used for information that is unnecessary for job search.
Your choices
You may review individual extracted facts, export your workspace, stop using a job provider by not invoking it, or delete your workspace. For privacy, support, or deletion questions, email itsbaldeep@gmail.com.
